The film "Balanse" is a personal short documentary by Marte Hallem in which she tells the story of when she herself was struck by a brain tumor at a young age. It shows her process of processing things that happened at that time, and raises questions about the need to see mental and physical health as a whole. "Balanse" is Marte Hallem's graduation film from the documentary film directing program at OsloMet Storby University.
Screened at Nordic Docs in May 2019, as well as at Verdal cinema the following autumn. Screened today at various conferences and seminars related to topics such as preventive health work, cancer treatment, mental health and trauma treatment.
The film has been shown at the Trondheim Documentary Film Festival and Trønder-TV.
